beach getaway

My parents rented a beach cabin to take the grandkids to this weekend so we decided to make the trip down to spend Saturday and Sunday with them and my brother and his wife, and mu sister and husband. I was planning on meeting my parents on Monday any way to get Mackenzi and Maci so it worked out good to do it this way.
The kids had a blast with their cousins and Grammy and Poppy. They loved playing in the sand, riding the waves (what little waves there were), and looking for sea shells. The water was dirty as usual for the Gulf. Tons of sea weed was in the water and on shore. It was totally sunny, but a bit on the humid side, so we all got a little tan.

We had a fun time laughing and talking. The kids of course had to perform for us, and danced their hearts away for over an hour. They were soaked with sweat and exhausted with they were done. We brought a game we have called "Compatibility" to play with my brother and sister and their spouses. It was very amuzing and laughed alot. Greg and I won both rounds so we definately the most compatible of the three couples. Of course, everyon esaid it was because we had been married the longest. I don't know about that.

Thanks Grammy and Poppy for renting the cabin so we all could be together and have a fun time. Thanks for taking Mackenzi and Maci for a few days last week and for taking them school shoes shopping. I know that was not an easy task.

Looks like you all had so much fun! I guess that means the beach is out until next year.

Sounds fun! The kids would have a blast I think. I can't believe your kids are asleep. My little ones went down at 7:30. I haven't checked the older ones in about 30 minutes.
