Greg, Eric, Brandon, Russell, & Jerry A few of the ortho guys went to dinner at Johnny Carinos to wish Brandon, who recently graduated, well, as he leaves for Iraq. He leaves Thursday to serve our country and to help heal injured US soldiers and citizens of Iraq, in the Bagdad Hospital. What a bitter sweet moment for him and his family and friends. He will be doing what he loves(working as an Orthopedic Surgeon) and what he signed up to do(serving in the Airforce), but on the other hand he will be leaving is wife and twin daughters behind for what could be a long while.
Courage and character describes Brandon, as well as all military people. How grateful I am to these courageous individuals serving and protecting our freedom as Americans.
We wish Brandon well on his journey and will be praying for his safety, as well as others serving. We will also be praying for his family that they might have comfort and peace.

I don't think I would survive with Doug being gone for any length of time let alone being and ENT and having two babies!
I am happy to see Greg's eyes were open in the picture. Kuddos to him for actually getting someone to take a picture of the guys.
I had no idea Brandon was going to Iraq. Tears came to my eyes when I read that. Do you have any contact info for him in Iraq? Would love to send him care packages. Thanks for the update.

That's frightening and amazing. I wish him luck and safety and a speedy return home.
I think we should totally start a package thing for Steph and the girls.
I forgot to tell you I also love that Greg was the only one without a beer bottle on the table!
