11th Anniversary

October 7, 1995

Today Greg & I are celebrating our 11th wedding anniversay. We were married Oct. 7, 1995 in the Dallas Texas LDS Temple. It seems it was justlike yesterday that we started dating, became engaged a little over a month later, and then were married 4 months after that. Yea, quick I know but I knew for a while that Greg was the person I was suppose to marry but it took me a while to convince him of that. Once I finally caught his attention things went pretty fast.

11 things I remember about our engagement and wedding-

11. I remember exactly what I wore on our 1st official date-jeans & blue guess shirt
10. I loved Greg kidnapped me for my 23rd birthday and made me breakfast and we weren't even dating,YET!
9. I remember what Greg said when he proposed, and it is so ironic that he proposed here in San Antonio on the riverwalk.
8. I remember being extremely nervous on our wedding day, enough so that I was very grumpy and made my Mom mad at me.
7. I remember the look in Greg's eyes when he walked around the corner at the temple and saw me for the first time.
6. I remember everyone who was in the sealing room, all 48 of them. There was standing room only.
5. I remember how our Sealer spoke to us so personally and his advice was the best I have ever heard since at a sealing.
4. I remember beating Greg at getting dressed and having to wait on him before we came out of the Temple.
3. I remember feeling a little embarrassed being in the spotlight and how bright the sun was.
2. I remember my Dad jokingly pulling out his wallet and showing everyone how broke he was after paying for the wedding.
1. I remember feeling like a princess and feeling more loved and blessed than I had ever felt.

How blessed I am to be a part of Greg's life and his dreams. Thanks for sharing your life with me, Honey. I love you HUGEMONGOUS!

I remember we were all on the Riverwalk waiting for the proposal to happen. And it finally did. On the day of the wedding, it really was a bright sunshine day. I remember your dad standing on the steps of the temple smiling with his empty pockets hanging out. That made a really cute and memorable picture. Happy Anniversary.

Happy Aniversary to a most wonderful couple!! As Greg's Mom I just never knew if there would ever be someone wonderful enough for him. Of course I was an unbiased opinion on how wonderful he was. LOL While Greg was on his mission I had my eyes on Angie while she lifeguarded at girls camp. It took a long time after he got home and we worried some of the time that she would get away, (he was always so focused on school). Eleven years ago they made us, all of us on both sides of the family, as happy as we could be. Happy Aniversary again. Wish we were there to give you both a big hug. We love you.
