Texas Bluebonnets

We have taken pictures in the bluebonnets every year since Mackenzi was born. We were a little worried that our tradition wouldn't happen this year since the bluebonnets around San Antonio were practically non-existent. There hadn't been significant rainfall here since September.
After going back to Beaumont over Easter weekend we stopped along
I-10 between Houston and San Antonio to snap a few pictures. Since this was our only opportunity, we did the unthinkable, we woke Maryn up after she had only been asleep about twenty minutes. Needless to say she wasn't very happy. The first few pictures we took she wasn't in because she was SCREAMING! Finally after letting her have half of my Diet Dr.Pepper (a big no-no-usually) she was willing to give it a try. They are not our best pictures by any means but at least we have them to add to our scrapbooks. We have yet to convince the girls that being itchy isn't all bad if it is a for a short time. They always cry and complain about how ridiculous they think the bluebonnet pictures are, but don't realize I am not giving in until we have at least ten decent pictures. I'm not as bad of a mom as it sounds, I promise. Okay maybe I am. As you can see in the pictures we even had a wardrobe change half way through the photoshoot!! I hope the girls are able to forgive me for the misery I put them through year after year. Hopefully they will cherish the photos we have taken over the years once they are older.
